FAQ
About Conversation Kits
A Conversation Kit is one topic‑specific set of resources (one kit per topic) for a specific type of people conversation.
It includes 4–6 Conversation Guides and a Practice & Mastery Guide.
Each Conversation Guide includes a preparation page, a two‑page conversation framework, and a “what good looks like” example conversation with phrases and questions leaders can use.
The Practice & Mastery Guide is a short workbook with scenarios and activities to help leaders practise the skills and build confidence over time.
What you receive depends on what you purchase. All options are delivered as editable Canva templates (via Canva links) so you can brand, customise, and export.
Single Conversation Kit:
- One kit focused on one domain (e.g. Performance, Feedback, Wellbeing, Career, Flexibility)
- 4–6 Conversation Guides (each includes preparation + a 2‑page structure + example conversation with tips/questions)
- 1 Practice & Mastery Guide (scenarios, reflection, ways to use in 1:1s, team meetings, workshops)
The Complete Library:
Includes all nine kits:
- Performance, Feedback, Wellbeing, Difficult, Career, Culture, Connection, Employee Lifecycle and Flexibility Conversations
You receive:
- 41 Conversation Guides
- 9 Practice & Mastery Guides
- 20+ Conversation Resources Library (expert guides + worksheets)
- Additional editable workbooks/frameworks and launch bonuses
- The Complete Library: the ready-to-use set of conversation guides leaders use day to day, in the moment they need to prepare for a real conversation.
- The Facilitator Program: everything you need to run workshops that teach conversation skills, so leaders can learn and practise together, then use the Conversation Kits in real conversations afterwards.
Canva makes the resources affordable and flexible:
- Add your logo, colours, policies, and terminology
- Rebrand/translate (for internal use)
- Export to PDF (or PPTX, PNG/JPG) and share via your systems
The underlying principles are universal (clarity, care, accountability, curiosity). They are written in plain English, so leaders can use them quickly in real conversations. Because templates are editable you can tailor examples, policies, language, and escalation points to suit your industry and context.
Leaders can use AI, but outcomes can be inconsistent and require strong prompting and judgement from the end user. Conversation Kits provide consistent guidance that you can align with your policies and language.
Built from:
- years of leadership development, coaching, and HR practice
- evidence‑based frameworks (org psych, coaching, behavioural science)
- a consistent structure tested in real scenarios
They support the conversations that affect retention, wellbeing, performance, and culture. Preventing a single escalation (or retaining one valued person) can cover the cost.
Choosing the right Conversation Kit
Choose a Single Conversation Kit if:
- you have one clear priority topic to address right now (e.g., performance or feedback)
- you want a simple, self‑serve resource for leaders
- you want to pilot Conversation Kits before investing in a broader rollout
Choose the Complete Library if:
- you want coverage across most day‑to‑day people conversations (9 kits / 41 guides)
- you want a consistent approach across the organisation, across multiple teams and roles
- you want leaders to be able to self‑serve across the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding)
Upgrade to the Facilitator Program if:
- you want to run a structured rollout and build capability at scale
- you need a repeatable workshop system (9 workshop modules) that internal facilitators can deliver
- you want program‑wide rollout resources to drive consistency and adoption over time
A leader can prepare in minutes:
- pick the guide that matches the situation
- scan the 2‑page framework in ~60 seconds
- choose 1–2 questions + a simple opening line
No. Most organisations start small:

- Performance: expectations, underperformance, probation, formal outcomes
- Feedback: recognition, significant mistakes, follow‑up when feedback doesn’t stick
- Wellbeing: check‑ins, behavioural change, disclosures, return‑to‑work
- Difficult: behaviour, conflict, negativity, exclusion
- Career: development, next steps, readiness/succession
- Culture: values in action, team norms, building trust
- Connection: better 1:1s, coaching in the moment, addressing unprofessional behaviour and bias
- Employee Lifecycle: onboarding, probation, transitions, retention, exits
- Flexibility: flexible work requests, hybrid expectations, resetting arrangements
